The Chinese love of mahjong has grown so strong that an elderly man with severe paraplegia has turned to a brain-computer interface to play the VR game even when he can't move his body.
An elderly patient with high paraplegia named Zhang controls a cursor on a computer screen using a brain-computer interface to play mahjong in a VR game.
According to Asia reports, Zhang was the first person in China to have an invasive brain-computer interface implanted in his head.
Zhang can play games, and control machines to hold a bottle and shake hands with people using the passage created by the interface between the patient's neural signals and an external device.
